Adrift
How’d you like it this time? How’d it feel to be forgotten? Adrift in the ether. How’d you get the courage to walk away from everything and step in my doorway?

Unfinished Tale 1 / 2
Her sad, pouty face     burns in my mind. “Titties!” she exclaims     My mind’s eye     she reminds. We lie awake     and embraced A pattern of love     liquid draped     across my face And to my unrest     I address A state unlike     my anxious     shakes

Skepticism is not cynicism. I just felt the need to express that.

I recently created a simple wallpaper for my work computer proclaiming my skepticism. I thought I would share the image with everyone. So here it is in 3 screen sizes. “I’m Skeptical” Wallpaper 800x600 1024x768 1280x1024

Cafe Press, the online storefront, displays “Humanism” under the “Religion” category. There’s something wrong with that.

Arationalists
A comment on this story at RichardDawkins.net makes a very good point. Let’s remove the label from the atheists and give it to the religious. The fundamentalist religious will, from now on, be referred to as Arationalists.

Outside the Lines...
If you have children, let them color outside the lines… when they’re done, just ask why they chose to do it that way. If a child ‘wants’ to make an image realistic, he/she will work towards that. If a child ‘wants’ to make something more interesting, encourage it and ask questions about it. A creative mind is a terrible thing to waste.
